It’s well appointed and they’ve really paid attention to detail to ensure you enjoy your stay indoors, from books to
a portable speaker, games and puzzles and a heated plunge pool you won’t be in need of anything.

Pleasant Places by Sanaadi Country Guesthouse, The Midlands
Pleasant Places has recently been taken over by new owners, it’s a true home away from home with 7 rooms
that are all designed differently but all have thatch and a rustic but classic aesthetic. My personal favourite rooms
are; Superior Garden Room 1, Room 2 & the Deluxe Garden Family room. (Keep this in mind when booking)
The views, sound of the Lions river near by and lushness are everything but if you’re afraid of what nature comes
with, aka; bugs? Then pack your bug spray with 🙂
How: From Johannesburg: it’s a 4hr drive. From Durban: Its an 1.5hr long drive.
Stay: 2 people per room
Price: Rates from R1250 to R1650 per room, 2 people sharing on weekdays & From R1450 to R2000 per room,
2 people sharing on weekends.
Abalone Hotel | Paternoster, Cape Town
Paternoster is located in the Western Cape part of the West coast about 1hr 45mins from Cape Town. Abalone is
a 5-star boutique hotel with a spa and restaurant too. It’s the perfect escape from the city if you love the ocean
and quaint small towns. It’s a true retreat if you need a place to really break away & just enjoy your company with
those you’re with.
How: Traveling from Johannesburg? You’ll need to take a flight to Cape Town and drive an hour 30minutes to
Paternoster.
